BROOK [DFC], Kenneth Richard

Flying Officer Brook was awarded the DFC for "completing many operational sorties against the enemy in which he displayed high skill, fortitude and devotion to duty." Flying Officer Brook lost his life when his plane a Lancaster JB699 was shot down by an enemy aircraft and crashed at Woolfox Lodge Cottesmore, England when returning from an operational flight. Seven crew were killed.
